Lansdowne Quaint and Quiet


A special charm lies in the tiny Hill station of Lansdowne. Sitting high in the Pauri Garhwal region at an altitude of 5,597 feet, Lansdowne is all about peace and tranquility. This quietest hill station was discovered by Lord Lansdowne in the year 1887 A.D. and so does the place has been name after him. Silver fir, spruce and the bamboo forests are amazingly dark and deep, simple perfect for long trials and picnics. Here you might get the chance to spot the leopards at mush close quarters. You are advised to visit the jungle with the forest guide who can give you the better insight of the whole region. Make a visit to the British Church, which has lost much of its aura, but greets you with the old world charm.
