The Ooty Centenary Rose Garden has more than 1000 varieties of roses in it. Probably the maximum number of varieties in a single garden. The Rose Garden is situated in the heart of Ooty town and it is located around one km from the Charring Cross. It covers close to 10acres of land and is maintained by Tamil Nadu Horticulture Department. The Rose Garden is situated on the Elk Hill. This garden was awarded the best rose garden in entire south Asia from the International Rose society in 2006.
