Kodaikanal is said to be a paradise of South India and is proclaimed to be one of the most popular hill resorts in India. The uniqueness of the flowering plant 'Kurunji' (Strobilanthus Kunthanus) is that it had last bloomed in 2004, and is believed to be an ultimate nature's gift to Kodaikanal. Kodaikanal is situated amidst the folds of the verdant Pali hills which is considered to be one of the most popular serene hill stations in India. It enchants any visitor and is frequented throughout the year by tourists and travelers.

KODAIKANAL : Simply WOW!!
Wow! What a place!! Breathtaking!!! Dont get confused. These are the first words which comes to the mind of every tourist who visits this beauty on Earth. Dont beleive it??? Then just have a glance at these pics. I am sure this would definitely temptate you to visit this place.
This pic is the view of the very famous Kodai lake. This lake is always full of tourists coz there is enough stuff around here for tourists to spend a couple of days.

Hmmm! Now it s time to describe this place. As simple as it goes, Kodaikanal is an excellent hill station on the Palani hills of the Western Ghats of the Great Indian subcontinent. It is about 500 kms from chennai and about 125 kms from Madurai in the Tamil Nadu state of India. Being at an altitude of about 2000 m above sea level this place has a very good climate with mercury running between 10 to 20 degrees all round the year. There is no particular visiting period for this place as whenever tourists visit this place they are given a royal welcome by the amazing mist and pleasure filled weather.
The ideal amount of time to spend at this place is 3 days and 2 nights. There is all sorts of luxury at this place to suit your budget. Ranging from the best resorts in Kodai to the average hotel room, everything over here gives you a warm blanket of love and eye pleasing view of this great place.
