The ideal time to visit this place is august-sept-october zone, coz this place is, at that time, genuinely adorned by the beauty of mother nature. To reach Munnar, its advisable to travel to Cochin(ernakulam) by air or land, and then by a cab to the high mountains which is about a 6 hour journey by road.
As popular, Kerala is known for its numerous backwaters and waterfalls. Munnar keeps Kerala's head high in this aspect. While from Cochin towards Munnar, one finds hundreds of streams forming the outlet of a major waterfall shown in the pic on the right. The water from the streams is ultrapure coz it penetrates rock soil and is extremely tasty. Drink this water for a few days continously and you ll get rid of all the sickness and infections.
